The Fender Parallel Universe Vol. II Troublemaker Tele Custom with Bigsby is one of the most unique Teles we’ve ever seen at Musician’s Friend. Dressed in black with gold hardware, this Tele Custom has 3 powerful Double Tap humbuckers. It’s suitable for players who want a sleek but aggressive guitar with a wide array sonic options.
The Troublemaker’s Dynamic Pickups
Tim Shaw designed the custom humbucking pickups in this Tele. They supply full-throated humbucker tones, but a quick click on the Double Tap splits the neck and bridge pickups for an overwound single-coil sound. Engage the Double Tap on the tone knob to deactivate the middle pickup. We think it’s a solid combination of tones that will work equally well live and while recording.

Fender Opts for Mahogany
It’s rare for Fender to feature a mahogany body, which makes this Tele Custom even more unique. Mahogany is the blank-slate of woods, and a perfect
counterpoint to the humbuckers.

Mahogany Neck
The neck is likewise mahogany, with a modern C-shape profile. The fretboard is Ebony, with a flat-for-Fender 12" radius, so you'll be able to bend while keeping the action low. Inlays are white pearloid blocks.
Gold Hardware
The Troublemaker Tele Custom uses a gold finish on all of the hardware. It’s a nice contrast to the black, highlighting the Bigbsy vibrato tailpiece and Adjusto-Matic bridge for an old-school vibe.
