The Pancho Tomaselli Electric Bass from ESP is made to the exact specifications of Pancho Tomaselli whose signature sound can be heard in both of his projects WAR and Philm. This signature bass is crafted with a swamp ash body, maple neck and maple fingerboard. Each wood serves a different purpose. Swamp ash is especially useful because of its resonance across the tonal spectrum producing clear highs, articulate mids and beefy lows. Maple's uniform grain helps focus energy letting the body create the tone. When used on a fingerboard, maple creates higher overtones and brings out each strum of the pick on the strings. In short, you get a carefully crafted, well planned bass that has a full range of sound whether you're playing funk rock or prog metal. Throw in a Gotoh 201B4 bridge, EMG JX active pickups and EMG BTC system active EQ and you've got a sound that you have to hear to believe.
