AboveGroundFX Tone Control Booster Pedal

Like all of AboveGround’s pedals, the Tone Control/Booster
is a unique design that performs its tone mutation duties in a novel
and very effective way. Tone Control/Booster modifies the signal content
just outside the fundamental frequencies of the guitar in a soft
response curve. This manipulation of adjacent corner frequencies makes
it super easy to dial in the amount of harmonics and sub harmonics,
greatly expanding the tonal possibilities of any guitar.

Tone
Control/Booster’s discrete, two-transistor circuit is incredibly
amp-like in its tonal quality and feel because it’s of the Shelving
Control Filter variety instead of the usual parametric. This incredible
flexibility means it can be used anywhere in the signal chain for
different purposes. You can use it to define your foundation tone, or as
a clean tone change for different parts of a song or different songs in
a set. With 15dB-18dB of boost within the audio spectrum Tone
Control/Booster can alter the tone and boost output when paired with
another pedal or pedal chain, or boost the bejeezus out of your amp’s
input. And if that’s not enough to get you interested, it’s also great
for recording direct to the mixing board. Tone Control/Booster’s wicked
flexibility makes it one of our all-time favorite pedals.
