Happily, the game has changed. The Roland VR-50HD is a complete high-def production center in a single unit. Connect cameras, computers, Blu-ray/DVD players, mics, and even your iPad to use as input devices. You no longer have to sweat over whether gear is analog or digital, or what formats it outputs. In addition to HD-SDI and HDMI output, you also get USB 3.0 and 2.0 output, letting you connect a computer for recording and live Web streaming. All digital video output connections include embedded audio.
