The jumbo-shaped Martin BCPA4 acoustic-electric bass guitar features the tested and coveted combination of spruce top and sapele back and sides. Martin used solid Sitka spruce, which gives a bright presence and projection while the warm sound of solid sapele gives you great bass response. Highly sustainable, and relatively fast-growing, sapele gives you everything that mahogany does, tonally speaking, with an extra dash of treble zing.
