Empress Buffer +
The Empress Buffer + corrects the tone-sucking loss of signal strength that can come from long cables. The Guitar In jack has a high-impedance input that preserves your guitar’s voice without loading down your pickups, with an external trim pot that lets you adjust the impedance to your liking and a 3-way toggle that adjusts to different guitars’ output by boosting or cutting the input signal or letting it pass as is.
As an all-analog, multipurpose Input/Output interface, the Empress Buffer+ does more than just keep up your signal strength. A Loop Out jack and a Loop In jack lets you place your effects after the buffer while still driving your pedal-altered signal to your amp. Another 3-way jack adds a little bit of a noise filter to your effects loop, or a lot, or none at all. The buffered Amp Out jack drives your signal through any length of cable you are ever likely to use, while the Boost control gives you up to 30dB to give your signal all the clean boost you could ever want. The Tuner Out jack drives a separate signal to your tuner without reducing your output or altering your tone. The Boost footswitch bumps up your signal or, if you hold it down for one second, bypasses your guitar signal to the tuner. And when nothing is connected to the Loop In jack, the Loop Out and Tuner Out Jack can be used to split your signal 2 or 3 ways and drive each one to a separate amp or to effects with stereo inputs.
