is our flagship pedal and shares its name with the company name. When
buying The Hungry Robot, you will get two unique, topshelf overdrives
that are designed by yours truly, not clones and not "inspired by" a
popular pedal with a few resistor swaps. The perfect combination of a
low gain overdrive full of warmth and body and an aggressive, amp-like
overdrive. This has the possiblity of replacing your drive section
completely.





The Left Channel of The Hungry Robot is the Lou Drive and
is an awesome low gain overdrive. This is unlike any low gain pedal you
have heard; it is lively, warm, and full of body. This is an original
design from Hungry Robot Pedals. It has three knobs: Volume, Tone, and
Grit. The volume has a ton of head room and can really push your amp
into some killer overdrive. The tone knob incorporates a two-way
hi-pass/low-pass filter. 12 o’clock is a flat/neutral eq; turn to the
left and treble is cut; turn to the right and bass is cut. The grit knob
is not to be confused with a gain knob. It is a knob that controls the
saturation of the diode clipping. It provides a gritty quality (very
subtle) to the overdriven sound without losing the transparency and
warmth that make this such an amazing low drive overdrive. The Lou
Drive is designed for and sounds best with single coil pickups.





The Right Channel of The Hungry Robot is the Blue Moon.
It is a barebones amp-like overdrive with intuitive controls. It is a
Hungry Robot original. The Blue Moon is a thick and aggressive drive
that still keeps the true nature of your guitar and amp. It was born out
of a desire to create a pedal for those tired of spending time dialing
in a pedal instead of playing. The only knob on the pedal is gain which
is used to set your overall output and gain. The Saturation switches
between a smooth overdrive (Fender Style) and a more
aggressive/distorted sound (Supro Style). The Bright switches from a
neutral EQ to a sparkly treble boost inspired by the Bright switches on
vintage Fender Amps. With different toggle combinations you can get 4
uniques amp-like overdrives in 1 enclosure. The Blue Moon is designed
for and sounds best with single coil pickups.
