As certain models caught the attention of metal players for their tight, articulate sound, it did not go unnoticed by the Ibanez luthiers and so a new partnership began and the Uppercut Series was born. One of the most recognizable and distinctive guitars in the world, the RG may be considered the heart of Ibanez. Now this metal icon is proudly included as member of the Ibanez built-in-Japan Uppercut series. The RG6UCS sports a pair of matched Bare Knuckle Aftermath pickups designed to deliver accelerated bass response for tracking high-speed staccato riffing, with increased focus in the mids, and precise high-end articulation. Its no-nonsense Mystic Night Metallic Flat finish envelopes a choice Mahogany body, fitted with a two-octave Wizard High Performance neck. An Ebony fretboard sports stainless steel frets with Prestige fret edge treatment for a bright tone, high durability and super smooth playability. The Ibanez original Lo-Pro Edge trem designed for superior tuning stability, playing comfort, and optimum sustain. A hardshell case included.
