The bobbins are assembled using Alnico 5 grade magnets are scatter-wound by hand with 42 gauge vintage enameled copper wire for that tonal complexity, warmth and the responsiveness of a great vintage pickup. This P-Bass® replacement pickup is created to bring back a forgotten by-gone era of that vintage bass tone to the guitars of today. All Amalfitano bass pickups feature vintage color-coded cloth covered wire leads and are lightly wax potted to reduce the chance of microphonics.
