Electro-Harmonix has reinvented its Small Clone chorus, specifically for you low-enders. However, before you guitarists leave, you should know that this new Bass Clone works just as well for guitar players, adding several controls to the classic effect that everyone can enjoy.
The original Small Clone has one knob: Rate. There’s a switch for Depth, sure, but the new Bass Clone gives a full control of that parameter. Two added EQ knobs, Bass and Treble affect the sound in an unusual way.
The Bass control affects only the dry signal, while the Treble control affects only the detuned chorus tone. Together, these two work in tandem for a supreme controllability that rivals any chorus out there. Told you, guitarists!
The Crossover toggle (labeled X-Over) cuts low end from the chorus signal, which only augments the tonal possibilities for you bass players out there. It sets a starting point for your boosting and cutting pleasure via the dedicated EQ controls.
