The first thing you'll notice after plugging in the Fender Custom Shop 2015 Postmodern Telecaster is that it packs way more punch than a standard Telecaster. That's because they loaded it with a pair of Custom Shop Twisted Tele pickups. These unique Tele pickups borrow the taller-than-usual Alnico V magnets from Fender's Jazz Bass pickups, which provide the added bobbin space for thicker gauge wire. This gives the 2015 Postmodern Tele a hotter, brighter, and punchier sound than you'll typically get from a Tele. And if you want to roll off some of those highs (without killing your gain) just kick in the 2015 Postmodern Telecaster's Greasebucket tone circuit.
Quartersawn neck gives you ultra-stability and ultra-playability
The neck is one of the most important aspects of any instrument, which is why this Fender Custom Shop 2015 Postmodern Telecaster NOS solidbody electric guitar features a quartersawn maple neck. Besides looking good, the straight grain of quartersawn necks is about 50% more stable than plain-sawn necks, and less likely to warp, twist or shrink. You'll also love the playability and feel of this 2015 Postmodern Telecaster NOS's contoured heel when you're playing higher up the fretboard. Down low, you'll appreciate the compound-radius (9.5"-12") maple fingerboard that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed fretwork.
