Multimode filter allows for endless creative possibilities
The 2-pole's multifaceted filter is able to operate in lowpass, highpass, or bandpass mode, opening you up to all sorts of creative options. By twisting the 2-pole's Cutoff knob, you can control the corner or center frequencies of the filter. If you're feeling adventurous, you can use the Cutoff knob to creatively adjust your sound's harmonic content, all while creating dramatic movement as you modulate the cutoff frequency with the 2-pole's LFO or envelope follower. Finally, you can use the Resonance knob to put variable amounts of emphasis on the cutoff frequency, creating everything from subtle brilliance to self-oscillating anarchy.
LFO with different ranges delivers a multitude of sonic flavors
By making use of the Range selector, you can coax all sorts of sounds out of the 2-pole. The Slow setting creates subtle, periodic filter movements, while the Fast setting goes up to audio level, adding an obvious tonal element to your processed sound. The Gemutlich setting utilizes a comfortable LFO speed perfectly suited for modulating pads and strings. When used in conjunction with the 2-pole's Depth and Speed knobs, the Range selector allows you to produce everything from a mellow sound with no modulation to a fast, intensive, swirling mass of chaos.
Preamp with overdrive for direct connection of guitar or bass
You can use the 2-pole to add all sorts of colorful dirt to your guitar, bass, or keyboard. Crank up the Gain knob for pre-filtered saturated/distorted sounds. Twist the Rectify knob for that pre-filtered fuzzed/pitch-shifted sound. Adjust the Drive knob for some saturated, warm distortion. Of course, you can leave the Drive at its leftmost setting for a pure, clean signal if distortion isn't your thing.
