The Lab Ratchet has been waiting a long time to be let out of its cage! For a year, it's been a FuzzHugger Effects semi-secret...a sort of off-menu fuzz that only made it into a few hands. Other projects and a lack of graphics delayed its release until now. Now it's finally available for all! WHAT IS IT? Start with a gained up, overdriven fuzz...smooth and amp-like, with a unique vowel sound to it...plenty of sustain....then the Ratchet knob comes in, acting as a texture/crush/sustain control, making the Lab Ratchet fuzzier, crunchier, and sounding seriously bit-crushed--while giving you full control over the amount of sustain you want. Dying pedal, dying amp, OR super alive! Its interactive (and wide range) controls make it super versatile for a three-knob pedal. Its tone doesn't call many other fuzzes to mind...one of those weird-but-usable pedals that will define users' sound as a surprise go-to pedal.
