Here it is, the Catalinbread Octapussy is the latest pedal from our Portland neighbors. This octave/fuzz pedal is an original design by Howard Gee that utilizes 3 silicon transistors and 2 diodes to provide thick, rich fuzz and stand-out octave effects. Unlike classic octave/fuzz pedals, the Catalinbread Octapussy is an effect that sounds good anywhere on the neck with single notes and chords. The octave effect can be delicate and vintage or the Octapussy can deliver rip-roaring fuzz that is rich with harmonics and provides tons of sustain. Besides the lovely sounds, the Catalinbread Octapussy is very dynamic and interactive with the Volume and Tone controls of your guitar for varied shades of “in-between” sounds. The Catalinbread Octapussy is a new player in the octave/fuzz world, one that will impress most any player and lover of fuzz.
