The SoHo is the latest addition to 65amps Red Line of hand-wired amps geared towards working guitar players. The SoHo combines some of the best circuitry for '60s 2xEL84 British combo amps. Utilizing a hybrid preamp that uses an EF86 pentode feeding a 12AX7 (ECC83) twin-triode, the player gets a wide vocabulary of pure, elegant British tones. Originally developed as a brighter, more aggressive companion to the 65-London, the SoHo gives a completely different EL84 experience. The SoHo was the first amp to have 65s unique Bump control. The SoHo is bright, spunky and noticeably more aggressive than its warmer brother the London. With its unique tube compliment and adjustable Bump control, the SoHo is your amp if you are looking for a more modern EL84 experience with finesse and range. 65amps Extension Cabs 65amps extension cabinets are perfectly matched to their heads and are available in a variety of finishes and speaker configurations. They use void-free Baltic Birch open-back cabs that are finger jointed. This a more expensive way to build cabs, but well worth it for the benefits of this type of construction. The cabinet, after all, is a part of your sound and any compromise in build quality is a compromise in tone...
