If you have extremely long cable runs, you need a buffer—it’s that simple. In fact, your tone can benefit from a buffer if your combined cable length is over 18.6 feet. Think about it—that’s 9.3 feet per lead cable, not including patch cables between pedals. With that said, you probably need a buffer, and now thanks to the White Atom, you can run one without worrying that your fuzz tone is going to fall apart.
The White Atom’s fuzz circuit is a hybrid design, containing both silicon and germanium components. The result is a fuzz that takes the best parts of both characteristic sounds and delivers them to you on a silver platter. An added Texture control changes the fuzz flavor, and, as a knob, the palette of sounds is wide-ranging when combined with the Tone and Gain controls.
