The Gibson Custom Shop's reissue Les Pauls are known for their great feel and authentic features that make them perfect for players and collectors alike. This new 1959 True Historic Reissue is the latest chapter in the Les Paul Reissue story.

The double carved Maple top is mated to the Mahogany back with hide glue for a tone and sustain that has to be heard to be believed. The Mahogany neck is topped with a Rosewood fingerboard that features hand-rolled binding to get this guitar as close to original specifications as possible. All the small details from the Top Hat control knobs, to the authentically shaded plastics, to the classic Les Paul peghead veneer have been carefully recreated. The thin Lemonburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish is wet sanded by hand for a vintage style look and feel. Softer vintage edge profiles throughout, including the fingerboard edges and body binding edges give the guitar a comfortable feel.
