The Reverend Charger 290 pairs a lively solid Korina body with plenty of upper frequency response with dual P90 pickups that fill out the lower mids of the signal. Being made from a very resonant and lively tone wood adds a level of excitement to the sound that only a Korina can create. While the P90’s maintain a necessary level of twang, they still carry the required punch of a high output humbucker. In fact the bridge pickup has been slightly over wound to get a hotter signal that really pushes the preamp of your amp. Whereas the neck pickup has a slightly cleaner output to eliminate the usual neck pickup muddiness.The Reverend Charger 290 will be at home in a heavy blues rock environment, but will certainly hold its own a southern country outfit. A 12” radius rosewood neck makes for easy string bends that don’t choke out. Lastly, the Reverend designed Bass Contour allows for endless tone tweaking and is a quick and simple way to push your signal out in front of the band.
