Dave Friedmans Dirty Shirley was designed for guitarists that seek that more vntage, classic rock tone inspired by British tube amps from the 60s and 70s. The Dirty Shirley is a 40-watt, 5881 powered, single channel classic rock amp that is also capable of producing many styles of music from blues to classic rock and country by just adjusting the gain and master controls. The Dirty Shirley takes pedals very well and loves boosts, ODs, phasers, flangers, tremolos, wahs, etc. The Dirty Shirley has an ultra-transparent series FX loop that takes time-based FX pedals and rack units equally well. Friedman History: For many guitarists, the name Dave Friedman does not have the cachet of, say, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Stevens or Jerry Cantrell. Yet without Friedmans helping hand these players, as well as a host of countless other guitar heroes, wouldnt sound as amazing as they do onstage and in the studio. Dave Friedman has been building, modding and repairing amplifiers for some of the worlds biggest stars for the past 25 years. Friedmans innovative designs have made him legendary in the world of professional touring musicians and the meticulous construction of his Rack Systems gear has earned him a loyal clientele from all over the world. One of Friedmans services has been to modify amps to each players specific tonal pallet and to consult for other established amplifier companies with their own designs. Friedmans extensive experience in this area inspired Dave to develop a brand-new series of production amplifiers under Friedman Amplification. In the past, having Friedman build or mod your amp required a certain level of notoriety, but now his sonic wizardry is available to everyday players. Each Friedman amplifier is handwired right here in the USA using only ultra high-grade components. With 25 years of experience in fixing amps, Dave has learned all the pitfalls other companies may have over looked, none of which are in a Friedman amp. It is for this reason Friedman amps are designed and built to last a lifetime.
