For a more modern sound with preamp distortion, dial up the Volume control while dialing back the Master control. For the vintage grind of a saturated power section, crank up the Master control and reduce the Volume control to clean up the preamp section. Either way, if you need more gain, simply kick on the gain boost.

The Supro Blues King 12 combo is equipped with an effects loop and a line output for maximum flexibility when it comes to setting up your rig. Many players prefer an effects loop for things like reverb and delay, but it’s also a great way to use amp-in-a-box preamp/distortion pedals — just connect your preamp pedal of choice to the Blues King’s return jack, and you’re ready to rock.
