Neo Instruments Ventilator II
Most users agree: the original Ventilator pedal was the most accurate Leslie simulator on the market. Painstakingly engineered, the pedal nailed the sound, but the feature set was a little lacking. Most seasoned Leslie veterans know that a dedicated "stop" function is a necessity for real Leslie emulation. Real Leslie junkies have lamented that organists work the speeds of a Leslie as much or more than the B3 keys themselves. Real Leslie junkies also know that the Ventilator is the most accurate Leslie reproduction on the market, period. The prayers of the Leslie players have been answered. The Ventilator II contains a dedicated Stop footswitch. Additionally, each knob contains a second function, with the labels clearly marked on the surface. Essentially, this gives the pedal 10 knobs, with the lesser-used, fine-tune knobs acting as "set-and-forget" controls that the user can set at home before they rock the joint. The "Key-Git" switch has been eliminated but has been offset by the addition of true stereo in and out, instead of a single mono in. This allows for an infinitely more flexible interface, especially if a keyboard or synthesizer is fed into the unit. The Ventilator II accepts a 12v 2.1mm center negative power supply. The unit includes a power supply, but for those of you with dedicated power supplies, it draws 300mA of current. It CANNOT be powered by a standard tap of an isolated supply of 100mA, but it can be powered by the high current (400mA) taps on the Voodoo Lab 4x4, Digital, et al.
