The PRS Private Stock 6072 McCarty/408 Hybrid features an African ribbon mahogany body topped with curly maple, delivering incredible sound and a rippled, three-dimensional appearance. This guitar's mahogany body imbues it with a rich, balanced quality and natural tonal warmth, which is offset perfectly by the brighter tone of its maple top. 408 pickups deliver incredible tone and versatility
When PRS released their Signature Limited model, everyone at Sweetwater who got a chance to check out the new 408 pickups was absolutely blown away. But true to his perfectionist nature, Paul Reed Smith continued to tweak these 100% proprietary pickups to perfection. In fact, he discovered that by tightening up the pickup field on a 408 Bass pickup, he was actually able to create an even better-sounding treble pickup. The PRS Private Stock 6072 McCarty/408 Hybrid features a pair of these amazing 408 pickups. But it doesn't stop there; these amazing pickups also have dedicated mini switches, so you can shift to the timeless single-coil sound instantaneously. Best of all, there is no volume loss when switching to single-coil mode!
