Distinct Lakland body and neck design
Lakland's 55-94 Deluxe electric bass features a distinct and recognizable body shape with an ultra-stable maple neck. The comfortable offset waist design has great balance and feel which is why you see so many of these basses backing up some of the largest touring acts out there. The smooth, compound-radius fretboard and graphite reinforced neck combine to give you an ultra-stable maple neck. And the slightly narrower nut width makes playing as wonderful feeling as it is sounding.
Lakland active pickups and preamp
The Lakland 55-94 Deluxe Buckeye Burl 5-string bass sports a powerful active electronics system. No matter what style of music you play, the Lakland pickup system will give you every tone you could want. A dual-coil humbucking pickup with 3-way coil-tap in the bridge gives you a variety of usable tones, while the J-style single-coil pickup in the neck position rounds out the sound beautifully. These active electronics give your instrument serious punch, and can even be switched into passive mode for a different vibe.
