Requests were pouring in from the four corners of the world: "Build a compressor," they said.
Ryan McCaffrey—then of RJM Effects—being a man of the people, obliged.
A short time later, the Tite Line compressor was born. After a series of refinements, the Tite Line became the Reactor.
You might ask: "What can the Reactor do for me and my tone?" The answer is plenty.
For starters, the Critical Mass switch adds bass response, something that is sorely missing from many compressors. The switch is a three-position toggle to select a little or a lot.
The two knobs—Level and Fusion—are for volume and compression. Most interestingly: the Reactor is super-low noise, a rarity in compressor pedals. It's a quiet tone sweetener, and with the compression all the way down, the Level knob makes a great clean boost.
