Intended primarily for electric guitars, the Morley Man FX Dual Boost Distortion is a pedal providing analog overdrive-style distortion, as well as level boosts. The boost can be instantiated in both overdrive and clean modes; indeed, the pedal provides three distinct footswitches for these purposes, with one turning on distortion, another effecting a clean boost, and the third boosting the volume of the pedal’s distortion. LED indicators display which mode is currently in operation.
Four controls are provided for your signal, with knobs for Boost, Drive, Tone, and Level overall. The pedal, which is housed in cold-rolled steel to bolster durability, employs a true-tone buffer circuit which ensures a pristine signal over longer cable runs. It runs off a single 9V battery, or conversely, can be used with a 9 VDC power adapter, available separately. Whether you are seeking to add pedal-based distortion to a clean amplifier channel, or to add even more grit to your already-distorted amplifier, this pedal will come in handy for the cause.
