3 Monkeys Amps Sock Monkey Head

The Sock Monkey from 3 Monkeys Amplifiers is absolutely, hands-down, one of the most killer little amps for rocking out ever to come through the doors of Make'n Music. It's perfect in every way- Small, Lightweight, Great Sounding and NOT TOO LOUD. Finally! An amp that actually sounds great at a usable volume! This current iteration of the Sock Monkey is available as a head and sounds great through the optional matching, 1x12 cabinet loaded with a 12" Celestion Greenback speaker. It also sounds great through pretty much any cabinet you can find whether it has 2x10's, 4x10's, 2x12's, 4x12's, etc... That's the beauty of a little head like this- You get as many amps as you have cabs.
The Sock Monkey is powered by 2x EL84 output tubes for about 10-12 watts of power. It has 3x 12AX7 preamp tubes, VOLUME, TREBLE, BASS, and MASTER controls, as well as a pull BOOST on the volume control. It sounds MIGHTY FINE and thanks to the Master Volume you can get any tone- From Clean to Mean at a usable volume level. The tone is decidedly British- in between a AC-15 and an 18 watt Marshall with more gain. This limited run is covered in an eye-catching Amethyst tolex with a Fawn stripe for an eye catching look!
