Taylor's popular GS Mini enjoys a tonewood refresh with a limited edition all-koa model. The pickguard-free solid koa top is paired with layered koa back and sides, with the addition of Taylor's ES-T pickup, for instant plug-and-play fun. GS Mini The award-winning GS Mini was designed to be the ultimate musical companion, wherever you go — or stay. Inspired by the big, bold sound of Taylor's GS body shape, the Mini scales things down without skimping on sound, packing a ton of tone into a comfortable travel size and giving you a guitar that's full-voiced and incredibly fun to play. Think of the Mini as a modern-day parlor guitar, perfect for playing around the house but also built to fit an active lifestyle. Koa Like Taylorâ€s other layered wood options, layered koa features an all-wood laminated construction, in this case with interior and exterior layers of beautifully-figured koa veneer separated by a middle core layer of poplar. Though the tonal properties of layered wood arenâ€t as complex as solid wood, the construction method enables us to conserve tonewood resources and offer attractive, durable instruments at a more inviting price. A solid spruce top and Taylor craftsmanship ensure a clear, balanced tonal response. ES-T The ES-T is a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual elements for each string. It features an onboard preamp and the same active controls found on the full ES. Featuring a custom-voiced EQ and dynamic response, the system is powered by a 9-volt battery, with a battery life LED power indicator (which is lit when the battery is being used). The pickup also has a Phase switch for feedback control, which is located on the preamp board inside the soundhole.
