DPA Microphones 4011C Cardioid Microphone (Compact)

The ideal little spot microphone. And by small, we mean tiny. At just 64mm, this cardioid condenser is perfect for being heard, but not seen - use it wherever visuals are important, especially on a crowded stage. 4011C can be mounted, hung or concealed to create clean, transparent recordings. It is ideal in theatres, opera and concert halls or places of worship where there is a live audience, and for film applications, both in the studio and on location. As part of the revamped DPA Reference series of microphones, 4011C uses the same MMC4011 cardioid condenser capsule that is used in the longer bodied 4011A microphone. The compact preamplifier (MMP-C) offers slightly less SPL handling (152dB max) than you'll find in 4011A (159dB max before clipping), however in compromised visual environments, this is a mighty microphone.

Description


Don't be fooled by the very small profile, 4011C is just as great off camera. The tight cardioid pattern is perfect for up close foley grabs, and voice recording. Should you already have the 4011C and want exactly the same performance that has made 4011A a winner, grab yourself the MMP-A state-of-the-art preamplifier. Also available, 4006C (omnidirectional), 4015C (wide cardioid) and 4017B (shotgun, including filters).
