With the Pat Pend Strat Series pickup sets, Bare Knuckle delivers the tonal response of coveted strat pickups from a specific era. The ’59 Slab Board set is based on the first Stratocasters to offer a rosewood fingerboard. The coils are made with vintage correct black fibreboard flatwork, hand bevelled Alnico V magnets and scatter-wound by hand with 42AWG Heavy Formvar wire. The result is a wonderfully hollow and woody tone, with a tight bottom end snap and crisp highs. A moderate vintage output provides enough cut for a slab board neck.
