Tonal Evaluation
This SJ-200’s low-end is as smooth and creamy as an Orange Julius! The top end can be bell-like and beautiful if you pick softly but downright mean when you strum hard (think the acoustic intro to “Peace of Mind” by Boston). Though the maple back and sides give this guitar a pleasingly bright character, I was able to get some nice mellow jazz sounds out of it, too. If you want a versatile jumbo that will turn heads, seek out some citrus-y goodness and give this tangerine dream a try!
