Clean channel based on a best-selling Supro
The clean channel on the Supro Galaxy head is derived from Supro's collaboration with master pedal builder Robert Keeley, the 1970RK combo amplifier. It's optimized for clean tone and maximum headroom, the perfect solution when you want to craft your guitar tone using pedals. You can generate big volume without preamp distortion, which means your sound stays tight and punchy (but don't worry, you can still get that Supro grind out of the power tubes at higher volume levels). Dial in a bit of the built-in spring reverb, and this clean channel is perfect for a variety of musical styles even without any extra pedals.




Overdrive channel with plenty of sonic flexibility
Guitarists at Sweetwater were surprised to learn that the overdrive channel on the Galaxy head is the result of a decade of collaboration between Supro and amp guru Bruce Zinky. And the sound of Galaxy's second channel says it was worth the wait. Utilizing multiple cascaded gain stages, this channel offers more gain than any other Supro amplifier. It's a wide-open sound that you can shape to your tastes, thanks to the three-band EQ, and the addition of a master volume control makes it easy to balance the volume with that of channel one.




Vibrant spring reverb with channel-dependent level
The Galaxy head comes equipped with a tube-driven, six-spring reverb, and it's deployed in one of the most intelligent ways we've seen. Using the dwell control on the overdrive channel, you can set that channel's reverb level independently from the clean channel. That means you can bathe your cleans in vibrant reverb, and when you switch to the overdrive channel for a solo, the reverb send amount will decrease or increase based on where you've set the dwell control. You can even disable the reverb entirely for either channel. Most guitarists would agree that you'd want to dial back the reverb on high-gain tones, and the Supro Galaxy allows you to achieve this automatically when you switch channels.
