This Candy Orange Metallic monster sounds like a Texas bluesman that sold his soul for heavy metal chops! Overall, it has strident, punchy midrange and sweet, lush high-end that can turn mean when you play through a distorted amp. The neck pickup is pure SRV--lots of bass and screaming high-end--and the middle pickup would make Paul Gilbert happy with its aggressive midrange and low-end girth. It sounds silly to say this, but the middle pickup sits at the exact midpoint between those two extremes, since it's still mean enough to handle sweep-picking but soulful enough for roadhouse blues.
