Tonal Evaluation
Let's cut to the chase - This is the most explosive and vibrant sounding Mahogany topped guitars we've had in the shop in years! A strong bass response is paired with a remarkably warm and focused mid-range. The trebles are very much "alive" with harmonic activity, and the overall voicing makes it quite responsive to many different styles of play. Playing this guitar with a pick, there's a immediate perception that you can't drive it hard enough, yet when played fingerstyle the lightest of touches responds with a sweetness that's truly addictive to the ears. We suspect that the lighter bracing is partially responsible for spruce-like personality traits this guitar has. Whatever it is, we love it and wished more mahogany topped guitars expressed this degree of gusto!
