The Gibson Acoustic L-00 Standard acoustic guitar carries a lot of obvious tips of the hat to the sought-after L-00s of that era. Things like the silk-screened Gibson headstock logo, vintage sunburst finish, V-shaped neck profile, and vintage-style tuning keys. But one of the most important additions to this model is a bit more hidden. The L-00 Standard is constructed with hide glue, just like the originals. Often considered a superior, and better sounding method of construction, the hide glue construction on the bracing ensures the guitar sings like a true classic.




Stripped-down vintage looks
One of the calling cards of the original L-00 acoustic guitars is the beautiful and straightforward sunburst finish. Because the first L-00s were meant to be inexpensive guitars, they don't carry a lot the ornamentation of some of their higher-priced siblings. As a result, the simple sunburst finish has become a recognizable and desired finish on these gems.
