The Gibson Custom Sweetwater Les Paul Modern Custom combines the a mahogany back with a hand-selected maple top to give you fat sustain with a punchy top end. Gibson Custom analyzed the sound of the original PAF humbucking pickups and re-created that vibe with a pair of Custombucker humbuckers. These pickups use period-correct wire and a precise number of turns to create the tone we all know and love. You'll love the tight low end, complex midrange, and sweet highs you'll get out of the Custombucker pickups - it's everything you expect when you pick up a Les Paul! But there's more! The volume and tone knobs feature a push-pull configuration that allows you to choose between classic humbuckers and single coils. You can also run both pickups alongside each other in or out of phase for a diverse tonal palette. We know tone at Sweetwater, and these pickups deliver the vintage goodness you want!
