Joe Satriani is one of the long-term Ibanez endorsers, and his JS signature guitar turned 25 in 2015. To commemorate the 25th anniversary of its debut, Ibanez teamed up with Joe and released the limited edition JS25ART guitars—featuring unique, hand-crafted illustrations by Joe himself. After that, however, Joe’s bold creativity as an artist kept flowing, so Ibanez stepped up and prepared another canvas for him. Joe took his pen again and produced hand drawings on every single piece of the guitar, incorporating a variety of colors against a gloss-finished white JS body.The JSART2 is crafted with a Basswood body for a fat but well-balanced tonality. The JS 3pc Maple/Bubinga neck includes Jumbo frets finished with the Prestige fret edge treatment for smooth, comfortable performance. The JSART2 is equipped with DiMarzio pickups wired to some advanced electronics. There's a high pass filter on the volume pot that maintains highs at low volumes and a push/pull coil tap on the tone pot that adds sound and tonal variations for both pickups. With the classic Edge bridge, the most extreme sonic acrobatics can be fearlessly performed with confidence: the guitar will effortlessly return to perfect tuning. Other features include a Certificate of Authenticity and a special guitar strap and picks. A hardshell case is also included.
