In the late '70s and early '80s Schecter Guitars outfitted some of the world's most popular players with high-end custom electric guitars that were built to the artist's specs. This PT Dream Machine II is a throwback to those days and the original Dream Machine guitars. Built in the same USA Custom Shop, the PT Dream Machine II boasts features like exotic woods, Jascar German stainless steel fretwire, and Schecter USA Custom Shop humbuckers. Schecter has been building great guitar for years, but the PT Dream Machine II is your opportunity to own a custom piece of their history.
Exotic tonewoods
Every inch of the Schecter PT Dream Machine II solidbody electric guitar is built from gorgeous and exotic tonewoods. The Black Limba body gives the guitar a tone with a warm midrange character that's similar to mahogany, but with a bit more highs. A figured birdseye maple neck is capped with a 22-fret pau ferro fretboard. Pau ferro is a reddish-brown wood that is smooth to the touch and helps notes jump off your guitar's neck. And the PT's natural satin finish allows all of the grain and figure of the wood to show through beautifully.
High gain to crystal cleans
Onboard the PT Dream Machine II electric guitar is an electronics package engineered to work in a variety of musical situations. The two Supercharger humbucking pickups were designed and hand wound in Schecter's USA Custom shop. They have plenty of output for driving the front end of an amplifier or your favorite dirt boxes, but they're voiced to offer plenty of sustain and clarity when run completely clean as well. The tonewoods used really bring out the warm lows and present top end. And the guitar's 25.5" scales length offers familiar bite and attack.
