Borne from a design collaboration between famed shred guitarist Randy Rhoads and Jackson, this is the instrument that started it all—the foundation of metal as we know and love it today.Harmonically rich, with superb inter-string balance, the RRMG is powered by a duo of active EMG humbucking pickups—an 81 in the bridge position and an 85 in the neck position. Mounted directly to the body for increased sustain through enhanced vibration transfer, these high-output pickups are just the trick for cranking out heavily-saturated overdriven tones while retaining enough clarity to punch through a thick onstage mix. The speedy neck profile is engineered for blazing guitar work, removing any obstacles to fleet-fingered playing and granting easier access to the upper frets. The sensitive Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 recessed double-locking tremolo adds expressive vibrato to notes and chords with the tap of a finger while working in concert with the Floyd Rose R3 locking nut for rock-solid tuning performance and precise intonation. The ultra-fast three-piece maple neck bears a pair of graphite rods for reinforcement against the assaults of temperature and humidity, remaining true for unbeatable performance. The 12”-16” compound radius fingerboard is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing—more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the speedy neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out.Jackson is the progenitor of high-tech guitar style, and the elegantly innovative Rhoads model is one-of-a-kind. Black hardware—including a slick-looking anodized aluminum pickguard, Jackson sealed die-cast tuning machines and Dunlop dual-locking strap buttons—is joined by the unmistakable pointed 6-In-Line headstock and unique body design for eye-catching appeal.
