The Fender Custom Shop Founders Series Alan Hamel Telecaster comes from the mind and hands of one of the Custom Shop's original luthiers. With touches such as the instrument's silver sparkle finish and Hamel-designed pickups, this guitar is undoubtedly an Alan Hamel original. The guitar is crafted from a swamp ash core wood with a top and back of alder. And the Hamel-designed Telecaster single-coil pickups offer a new take on the Twisted Tele neck pickup, while exactly replicating an original '49 Esquire bridge pickup.

The year 2017 marks 30 years of the Fender Custom Shop. And Fender is celebrating the occasion with the Fender Custom Shop Founders Series. Designed by master luthier Alan Hamel
Alan Hamel was one of the original eight luthiers who helped begin the legendary Fender Custom Shop. He quickly built a reputation for his bold sparkle finishes and pickup designs. After leaving the Custom Shop, Hamel's pickups gained a legendary reputation for some of the best tone in the world, making them incredibly difficult to get your hands on. When Alan Hamel was approached to create this limited-edition beauty, he already knew exactly what he wanted to do. One of his trademarks is his beautiful sparkle finish, and the silver sparkle on this swamp ash and alder body is breathtaking. And he carefully designed the guitar's pickups for his ideal tone. To further expand the instrument's versatility, Hamel created a special 5-way system that allows you to preset your own blend of the two pickups for recall at the flip of the switch.
