A new guitar with its own iconic imagery for one of Rock musics most iconic guitarists: this is the Gibson Custom Shop Slash Firebird, this one in an aged transparent black finish over a maple capped neck-through mahogany body, - only 25 made! When designing the guitar, Slash wanted lots of familiar Les Paul elements on his Firebird including humbuckers, historic Les Paul wiring and pickup spacing, and the aforementioned maple cap. Per Slash's request, the Custom Shop hand-aged these with vintage-accurate checking and wear to the thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
