The Lilpeqr-M is Purple Audio's concept of the classic mastering EQ. The Lilpeqr-M sports high- and low-frequency shelving bands - each with three carefully selected corner frequencies and a switchable fader knob for overall level control. Strap a pair of these unique equalizers across your mix bus to add air, glue, and slam factor to your mix. Sweetwater engineers were impressed with the Lilpeqr-M's impeccable performance.
True bypass for easy, accurate before and after comparisons
Purple Audio's Lilpeqr-M sports relay true bypass, letting you easily compare your before- and after-EQ signals. Moreover, the unit's simple overall circuit path gives you broad bandwidth so that your entire signal passes through. When you've got EQ engaged with both EQ knobs centered, the Lilpeqr-M delivers a frequency response of +/- 0.5dBu from 20Hz to 20kHz, and in fact, it extends below 10Hz and well beyond 120kHz before any falloff occurs.
Buffered Level control, for tightness and focus
The Lilpeqr-M has a secret weapon that's great for individual tracks within your mix. If you flip the switch to the upper position (In + Level) the LED glows red and you've activated the Lilpeqr-M's buffered Level control. Situated in between the input transformer and the EQ network, discrete Class A buffers slightly change your response, making your signal sound tighter and more focused. The Buffered Level control adds even more versatility to the Purple Audio Lilpeqr-M, making it a must-have addition to your 500 Series rack.
