In the ancient times when Julius Cezar’s as well as Cleopatra’s grandparents were walking the streets of Rome there existed a strong oak tree that was growing somewhere in The Sudety Mountains. The tree fell to a swamp where it stayed for the next 2100 years...the oak wood remained healthy but changed its colour to black...someone had found the wood from the that tree and dried it very carefully. Today this beautiful witness of history is turned into sophisticated and extraordinary bass guitar...The Symphony Soul bass by luthier Marek Dbek. The exceptional materials and craftmanship, elegant details and wide range of tones makes this bass one of a kind instrument and the highest model of Symphony Bass line.The neck and body of this bass are entirely made of ancient bog oak. Just a single piece of this wood was used to build a neck and another one was cutted and glued as a body piece. The cherry on a cake is a one piece ziricote fingerboard with beautiful grain and pure silver (999 probe) dot markers on top and side. The Luminlay lines help to play a dark scenes situations and an oak lining is highliting the shape of the extended fingerboard.The sound of this bass is created by piezo pickup made by Stradi and a Delano Thextender 4HE (quadcoil) humbucker in oval shape. In mono operation the signals are blended with 2 volume potentiometers but when stereo jack is plugged the signals are split into 2 separate channels... The top of this bass has been carved with stylish curves refers to a classic roots of instrument and the builder. Carved back of neck and body joint gives very comfortable space for left hand in high positions
