Duesenberg took one of their most popular instruments, the Starplayer TV, and decided to rough it up a bit. The result is the Outlaw, a Starplayer TV covered in black alligator tolex for a look that says don’t mess with me. The Duesenberg Outlaw gives you extraordinary sound and playability with exceptional style and grace. An arched spruce top and a maple back and sides form a single-cutaway, hollow body design that delivers rich, delicate and well-defined tone, with a center block that eliminates acoustic feedback while supporting the sustain characteristics of a solid body. An American hard rock Maple neck, matched with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard, contributes to the warm, well-defined notes. Duesenberg’s own pickups and hardware give the Outlaw a well-coordinated feel and style. A Grand Vintage Humbucker in the bridge position, paired with a Domino Single Coil in the neck position allows for a broad spectrum of extraordinary tones while a solid bridge with steel saddles, a Duesenberg designed Diamond Deluxe Tremolo, heavy duty knobs and hardware and that killer black leather alligator finish work together to create the perfect balance of form and function.
