Cosmodio Instruments Gravity Well
Gravity Well from Cosmodio Instruments brings wavefolding and tremolo together to offer a new, out-of-this-world effect which they call Sonic Refraction. On the right side of the pedal, an analog tremolo creates rhythmic fluctuations in signal amplitude, with depth, speed, and modulation shape set by the panel controls. LFO shapes like saw, ramp, and square offer conventional sounds, while asymmetric swoop, sample and hold, and random modes create more unique modulations. On the left side, an analog wavefolder adds new harmonics and timbral richness as your signal is folded in on itself, imbuing guitars, basses, and other instruments with complex synth-style tones. Affect the harmonic voicing and tone with two switches, and set the total fold amount with the gain and volume controls.
Naturally, you can use either side of Gravity Well in isolation, deriving wild tones and walloping tremolo on either side as you see fit. When both sides are active, the sonic refactor takes hold, fusing these powerful effects to create modulated wavefolding bliss. In refactor mode, the tremolo's rhythmic automation of signal amplitude effectively warps and unwarps the signal as it passes through the wave folder, generating unique fluctuations akin to an envelope filter pedal from Planet X. Adjust the signal flow of these effects with the flow switch, reversing the combination to wavefold before the tremolo, producing a more pronounced and static timbre with the same rhythmic fluctuations. With a unique sound often ignored in the pedal world and a vast array of sound design potential befitting its mind-bending panel design, Gravity Well from Cosmodio Instruments is here to take your tone to another dimension.
