The single-knob simplicity of the original Speaker Cranker pedal was a massive draw for guitarists seeking an easy-to-use overdrive pedal; however, Jamie Stillman and his trusty team in Akron, Ohio, saw even more potential in this design. Enter the Special Cranker, a superpowered overdrive pedal tailor-made for tube saturation without the unwanted tonal coloring that can occur. The Special Cranker takes the power of its inspiration to unprecedented new heights, doubling its output with even more gain on tap. The harsh highs that can occur are easily tamed via the onboard Tone knob, with a diode selector switch going from the bright, high-output tone of silicon to the softer, more rounded sound of germanium with a single flick. Throw the Special Cranker into any rig and prepare to kick your amp into high-gain heaven!
