This second installment in the Collector's Choice series is an exacting reproduction of the 59 Les Paul "No-burst" 9-0629, which is also known as "Goldie". On loan from an anonymous collector, Goldie went through extensive hands-on analysis to ensure that every aspect is accurate, down to the smallest detail. Collector's Choice #2 surpasses its famed Reissue program with painstaking exactness from neck profile to aged hardware to pickup analysis. This Gibson is as accurate a reproduction of a 59 Les Paul as you can get.

Digital Accuracy
The neck and top of "Goldie" were digitally scanned to ensure the most accurate reproductions possible. The neck profile of the Gibson Custom 59 Les Paul Collector's Choice #2 "Goldie" exhibits the same wear as the original.

Precise Aging
Ever ding, finish check and dent is present in this Collector's Choice model. The hand aged finish gives the guitar a "green lemon" hue that accurately mimics "Goldie's" faded burst and the spirit of its wide flame pattern. The binding and hardware were meticulously aged to be an exact match of the original 59 Les Paul. The pickups were analyzed and reproduced to sound not like new 59 humbuckers, but with the tone they exhibit today after 50 years of aging.
